Fire Hall Remodel
Members of the fire department put in literally thousands of man-hours in labor in doing a major remodel project of the meeting/training room; both hallways/stairways; upstairs bathrooms and Fire Chief's office. The project started on 12-12-2008 and the bulk of the major work was done by around June 1st. Some small things remain done in order to call the job "complete."
The walls were formerly paneled with dark brown wood paneling. Everything what gutted and started from scratch. Electrical wiring; plumbing, insulating, sheetrock, new suspended ceiling, new carpet, new furnace/AC unit were installed. New doors and trim were installed. The kitchen was opened completely up and a serving island was put in. All kitchen cabinets were refinished as well. The meeting/training room was enhanced with state of the art instructional tools such as gray board; overhead projector and sound system.
The members that spent lots of time on the project are proud of the finished product and will be a very useful facility for many years to come, yet astetically appealing.
