If you are interested in becoming a member, fill out the application and drop it off at the Fort Pierre Fire Hall, 305 N. Deadwood Avenue or mail to P.O. Box 123, Fort Pierre, South Dakota 57532.  You will also need to complete a fingerprint card at the Stanley County Sheriffs Office and have it sent in for a background check.  The fee to send it in to the DCI is $20, however, this fee will be reimbursed to you by the fire department if you do join the department.  After both the application and the background check are returned to us, we will schedule an interview with you.  In order for you to join, all of these steps (application; criminal history/drivers history; and officers interview) must be done prior to your name being forwarded for further consideration.

Training and work night is held every Wednesday night beginning at 7:00 P.M.   Monthly department business meetings are held every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 P.M.
